Officer Walter Broussard Memorial Fund

On July 4, 2022, Officer Walter Broussard passed away from complications of an on-duty heart attack he suffered on June 10, 2022. Walter served with the University of California, Davis Police Department for over 24 years. During his tenure he served as a patrol officer, traffic officer, FTO, and K-9 handler. Prior to coming to the U.C. Davis Police Department, Walter served as a Deputy Sheriff with the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office for 7 years.
Walter was hospitalized in the Bay Area during the weeks following his heart attack and his wife Mary incurred substantial debt so that she could be there by his side. Your contribution will go towards helping Mary and her family retire this debt and towards an appropriate service for Walter.
